LASEC Community Sportsman of the Year Award
Majestic Realty Co.’s Chairman and CEO, Edward Roski, Jr., will be presented with the LASEC Community Sportsman of the Year Award. The award was established to honor an individual who continually contributes to our community. We will be recognizing Roski for his outstanding contributions to the LA Sports & Entertainment Commission (LASEC) in helping the Commission attract major sporting and entertainment events to Los Angeles that positively impact the local economy.

ESPY Awards | July 15, 2009

The ESPYs gather top celebrities from sports and entertainment to commemorate the past year in sports by recognizing major sports achievements, reliving unforgettable moments and saluting the leading performers and performances. The 2009 ESPYs will recognize both sport-specific achievements, such as "Best MLB Player" and "Best WNBA Player," and best-in-sport winners, such as "Best Team" or "Best Female Athlete" that pit nominees from different sports against each other. The ESPYs honor ESPN’s commitment to The V Foundation for Cancer Research, a partnership launched with the late Jim Valvano at the inaugural ESPYs in 1993.


This year's ESPY Awards will be held at the Nokia Theatre at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday, July 15 at 6 p.m. and hosted by Samuel L. Jackson. For all ESPY information, please visit www.expn.com

DFBA Summer Camp

The Derek Fisher Basketball Academy is proud to announce its first summer basketball camp.

A three-time NBA champion, Derek has created an experience for children and teens of all skill levels, dedicated to developing the basketball, leadership and life skills of every camper.

Respected for his talent and professionalism across the league, Derek and his team of training specialists -- the same ones who help him prepare during the basketball season -- will be on site daily to work with campers, teaching them core skills of the game of basketball, and how to succeed in life.

Each camper's daily schedule will be filled with drills, chalk talk, interactive instruction, competitions and daily surprises, all held at HAX, a state-of-the-art basketball training facility in Los Angeles.
