Cathy Felling, Fred Rosen Elected to
LA Sports & Entertainment Commission Board;
John Bendheim elected Chairman

LOS ANGELES – 4 August 2005 – John Bendheim has been elected chairman and Cathy Felling and Fred Rosen have been elected to the board of directors of the LA Sports & Entertainment Commission (LASEC), Kathy Schloessman, LASEC president, announced.

Bendheim is president of Inland Homes, which is a home and land subdivision development business and president of Bendheim Enterprises, Inc., a real estate investment holding company.  Bendheim succeeds outgoing LASEC chairman, Stan Washington, regional vice president and general manager, American Express U.S. Commercial Card Group. 

Active in many organizations, Bendheim is a trustee of the Cedars-Sinai Board of Directors, vice chairman of the Psychological Trauma Center and was executive chairman of the international Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). He is a graduate of the University of Southern California where he received Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees.

Felling is executive vice president, west region, of Ticketmaster, the world’s leading ticketing and access company.   Felling earned a Bachelor of Science from the Indiana University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.  She resides in Los Angeles with her husband and three children.

Rosen is chairman and CEO of Stone Canyon Entertainment, which provides mobile amusement parks (rides, food and games) to State fairs, both large and small, in the United States and Canada.  He is also the former chairman and founder of Ticketmaster.

Rosen sits on the City of Hope National Board of Directors. He is also a board member of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a trustee of Crossroads School and a board member of the Beverly Hills Cultural Center. 

LASEC is the official organization for the City of Los Angeles to seek, host, promote and retain major sporting and entertainment events that positively impact the local economy.  Official marketing partners of the organization are American Express, Delta Air Lines, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, LA INC., The Convention and Visitors Bureau, Longo Toyota/Lexus, Nextel Communications, Penske Automotive Group and Young’s Market Company. 

LASEC is a private nonprofit organization and a division of LA INC., The Convention and Visitors Bureau and is involved in hosting and promoting more than 100 notable sports and entertainment activities each year.
