LIZ LOPEZ

UC Davis, Class of 2024 | Inside Sales Consultant, San Jose Sharks

“As someone who aspires to work in the sports industry but had no one who I could use as a resource, this program allowed me to receive feedback from not only professionals but also my peers. I am so lucky to have been a part of such an incredible group of cohorts who continues to inspire me. I learned that no job is too small and it’s okay to start with a career that has nothing to do with sports because believe it or not everything is transferable, and you don’t know who you’ll meet along the way!”

“The LASEC PDP Summit has been a transformative experience, providing the perfect trampoline to learn and create valuable connections within the sports industry. Meeting industry leaders and like-minded individuals with diverse skills has equipped me with the insights and knowledge necessary to excel in my career. The summit reinforced the idea that you never know who is watching, and the importance of accepting any entry-level position and proving yourself through hard work and dedication. These lessons in professional integrity and perseverance will guide me as I embark on my journey in sports marketing and management. ”
