PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
The LASEC Professional Development Program (PDP) is designed to prepare college juniors, seniors and graduate students for a successful career in the sports industry. Students gain a competitive advantage as they develop the critical job training and communication skills needed to get hired and thrive in this highly-competitive industry. The program also includes direct access to a network of sports leaders through a formal mentorship program, interactive industry-specific discussions either virtually or at headquarters/offices, as well as hands-on event experience. LASEC has a proud history of developing students for careers at the top sports organizations nationwide.
The LASEC Professional Development Program Includes:
- Develop critical job training and communication skills required to succeed in a highly competitive industry
- Receive access to a network of sports leaders through a formal mentorship program, interactive industry-specific discussions either virtually or at headquarters/offices, and hands-on event experience
- Participate in networking events with professional sport executives discussing PR, marketing, communications, event/venue management, operations, etc
The program is open to current undergraduate sophomores, juniors, seniors and graduate students. Alumni within one year of graduation are eligible to apply. Transfer students attending an accredited college or university in the upcoming term are eligible to apply. Students (18 or over) are encouraged to sign up for our Volunteer Academy.
