COMMUNITY LEGACY

HIGH-PROFILE EVENTS KEEP ON GIVING

As the world’s top performers and athletes compete in Los Angeles on the brightest stages, major events create unparalleled opportunity for communities across the region. High-profile events strengthen communities today and long into the future through civic pride, infrastructure improvements, global media visibility, and increased tourism.

MEANINGFUL COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

CHAMPIONS EDUCATE HERE

Driven by the Los Angeles College Football Playoff National Championship Host Committee, the College Football Playoff Foundation, ChampionLA supporters, the LA84 Foundation, and the Play Equity Fund, Champions Educate Here identified and celebrated 46 educators who harness the unique power of sport, play, and movement to support the mental health and social-emotional needs of students.

CHAMPIONS LIVE HERE

The Super Bowl LVI-inspired legacy program recognized 56 nonprofits who are making a transformative impact in underserved communities across the Los Angeles region. These organizations received $800,000 total in grant awards, a professionally produced marketing video to spotlight their initiatives, and public recognition of their work in the lead-up to the Super Bowl.

NBA CARES

The 2018 NBA All-Star Game launched an All-Star Day of Service that reached thousands of kids, families, and more in need across the greater Los Angeles area through a series of service projects, volunteer efforts, and special experiences with members of the NBA family.

ENDURING IMPACT

The Super Bowl LVI Park On The Move program will serve communities with limited park and recreation space to meet the needs of youth in their own neighborhoods and provide them an opportunity to play for years to come!
