After 42 years, we are welcoming the MLB All-Star Game back to Los Angeles. We are also celebrating the 75th anniversary of LA’s own Jackie Robinson becoming the first Black American to play in Major League Baseball. Today’s baseball greats will descend on our region from July 15-19 to showcase their world-class talents, with MLB events taking place at the Santa Monica Pier, the LA Convention Center, LA LIVE and Dodger Stadium—where the Celebrity Softball Game, Home Run Derby and MLB All-Star Game will be held.
Last month we hosted 31 college students as part of the LASEC Professional Development Program Summit, a four-day intensive workshop that created opportunities for these students to learn from, and interact with, Los Angeles sports industry leaders. We followed that with Dodgers All-Access on June 27, where 400 supporters had a chance to enjoy a private night at the legendary stadium, meet their favorite alumni, pitch in the bullpen and take batting practice in the batting cage.
And finally, we had some exciting news on June 16th when Los Angeles and SoFi Stadium were officially selected as a Host City for the 2026 FIFA World Cup™.
