The Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission’s Business Connect Program Launches Automated Supplier Portal to Expand Opportunities for Local Businesses

Major event organizers can now source local suppliers and report their contract spend online  as part of the Business Connect 2.0 expansion

In preparation for the upcoming major events in Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission’s (LASEC) official supplier procurement program, LASEC Business Connect, has strategically modernized its procurement process streamlining access and simplifying how diverse suppliers engage with major event organizers.

With the launch of the new Business Connect Supplier Portal, major event stakeholders can now explore profiles of local event production businesses within the LASEC Business Connect program through a digital directory. They can filter by business disciplines, NAICS codes, business name, or certification to find suppliers best matched for contracting needs. The LASEC Business Connect automated online portal offers sports, entertainment, and corporate partners an opportunity to track and report their spend with local diverse suppliers.

Los Angeles is now preparing for an influx of major events unmatched by any destination as the region prepares to welcome the 2026 NBA All-Star Game, the 2026 U.S. Women’s Open Championship, FIFA World Cup 2026™, Super Bowl LXI, and the 2028 Olympic & Paralympic Games over the next three years. To ensure these events have a skilled workforce and access to the necessary goods and services for smooth operation, LASEC has made significant investment in its Business Connect program, which develops the event production workforce needed to support these top-tier events.
