The Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission (LASEC), in partnership with the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, hosted the 8th Annual Dodgers All-Access at Dodger Stadium on Monday, June 27, 2022. The event gave 400 fans the rare opportunity to go behind-the-scenes of the Dodgers fan experience in anticipation of next month’s MLB All-Star Game at Dodger Stadium.
The evening included panel discussions with current and former players as well as Dodgers front office executives, photo opportunities with the World Series trophies, pitching in the Dodgers bullpen and hitting in the Dodgers batting cage.
Following dinner on the field, guests heard from General Manager Brandon Gomes and Vice President of Player Performance Brandon McDaniel, then current Dodgers pitcher Walker Buehler, Dodgers Hall of Fame play-by-play broadcaster Jaime Jarrín and Dodgers legend Fernando Valenzuela. The speakers discussed the impact of the MLB All-Star Game’s return to the City of Los Angeles and the Dodgers’ storied history.
In addition to Buehler, Gomes, Jarrín, McDaniel and Valenzuela, participating Dodgers players and alumni included former catcher Rick Dempsey; former outfielder Mickey Hatcher; former pitcher and current broadcaster Orel Hershiser; former pitcher Charlie Hough; former outfielder Manny Mota; current outfielder Kevin Pillar, former outfielder and current front office member Ron Roenicke; former shortstop and manager Bill Russell; former outfielder Reggie Smith; broadcaster Charley Steiner and former catcher Steve Yeager.
The program was emceed by SportsNet LA anchor John Hartung and Hershiser.
