The Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission released the following statement today on the passing of Wallis Annenberg:
Wallis Annenberg was a steadfast advocate for the people of Los Angeles. She channeled her love of sports, much like her commitment to the arts, to profoundly enrich our community. As a founding member of the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission’s ChampionLA Core Leadership Group, she supported initiatives that attracted marquee global events to our region as well as grassroots programs that used the power of sports to uplift our diverse communities, leaving a lasting social and economic legacy. Wallis was a true LA Champion who leaves a tremendous legacy.
