LASEC: Tell us about your company and what you do.
Julio Garcia II: Jive Live Entertainment is a premier event production company that is dedicated to creating innovative events that exceed client expectations and positively impact communities. We specialize in producing large-scale events for high-profile clients such as the LA Clippers, Red Bull, and the City of Los Angeles.
How has being part of the LASEC Business Connect program benefitted your business?
Thanks to the Business Connect program, we were able to win a competitive RFP bid with the NFL and secure work with the CFP National Championship. However, the most significant impact of the program has been the relationships we’ve built with other vendors.
Have you been awarded a contract as part of the Business Connect program? If so, what was the project?
At Jive Live Entertainment, we were honored to have the opportunity to host the NFL Play Football Family Festival in Boyle Heights during the Super Bowl weekend in 2022. It was also a chance to celebrate the incredible partners who make football possible, from the latest gear and technology to the companies and organizations that support the sport.
Is there a lesson or key takeaway from a Business Connect training that sticks out to you?
Through Business Connect, we have had access to invaluable resources, including workshops and conversations with experts in the industry that we wouldn’t have had otherwise. We have worked hard to apply the lessons we learned and to build relationships with other vendors in the program, which has helped us to win new business and expand our network.
