The 2023 VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) will close out the season in Los Angeles, home of VALORANT’s newest agent – Gekko! Champions is a celebration of the entire VALORANT community and the pinnacle of the competitive season. Each year, the top players, creators, and fans descend on the host city for the biggest show of the year and to see which team will be crowned the VALORANT World Champion. Last year, in front of a sold out arena and an online audience of more than 1.5 million viewers, LOUD defeated Optic Gaming in a thrilling 3-1 match that earned them the right to raise the 2022 Champions Cup.
Since then, new rosters and new leagues have been established all over the world and it’s anyone’s guess which team will earn the title of World Champion. The path to Champions will be long and difficult, with teams from North America, Brazil, Latin America, EMEA, and Asia in the running to earn one of 16 qualification slots for the tournament. After LOCK//IN, VCT teams will head to their three respective regional competitions, the Americas, PACIFIC, and EMEA leagues, where they will earn the chance to qualify for Masters Tokyo and Champions Los Angeles.
We’re excited to bring the first ever international VALORANT tournament to North America where two storied locations will serve as the home of Champions during the month of August. The Shrine Auditorium will host the opening rounds from August 6-20, narrowing down the field of competitors from 16 to the top 4. Champions will conclude in front of the largest capacity venue in the history of VALORANT esports at the iconic Kia Forum. Across three days of competition, the tournament will narrow the remaining four teams and conclude with the Final on August 26. Be on the lookout for information on how to purchase tickets and additional details on the event in the coming months.
